Hoosier Hysteria

We spent the weekend (and today) back in Warsaw for some Clevenger family time.  More on our visit to come...

Tyson and I learned that four hours in a car with a toddler is pretty much torture for everyone (dogs included). Nothing seemed to make him happy and he was ESPECIALLY mad when he learned that he had left his beloved "nigh-nigh" behind. {A quote from Jack: UH OH} Luckily, Grandma has already assured him that it will be in the mail tomorrow. Phew.

When we got home Jack was ready to move. Basketball was on his agenda...which is fitting because this weekend was Hoosier Hysteria at Assembly Hall. Jack is ready for some Cody Zeller action! GO IU!

Friday Flashback

Our flashback takes us back to October 14, 2010. Check out Jack & Molly! At this time they were novice crawlers, just learning to pull themselves up. A few months later they were walkers...and today, well, Brooke & I have a hard time keeping up with them!

It's a Girl!

I'm SO excited! One of my best friends from DePauw/Alpha Phi, Kassey, welcomed a baby girl on Monday! Monroe McQuinn Stewart was born in Indy! Our biggest CONGRATS to Nick, Kas, and big brother, Oliver!

Oliver is exactly 6 months older than Jack and Monroe will be about two months older than our Baby Girl! I believe there could be some serious Stewart-Becker domination at DePauw between 2027 and 2033! And perhaps Alpha Phi sisters!?! We can only hope...

Franklin Cider Mill

We had a fun morning at the Franklin Cider Mill with Lucas, Christina, Brooke, & Molly! Here is a recap of our visit:
Posing for a picture when he'd rather be running down a hill.
Donuts, cider, and lots of fun with his buddies!
So many beautiful pictures of fall! The colors are amazing.
So weird. I noticed this sign on the way in & snapped a quick picture...but as we left - I noticed a change... I wonder if this was directed at the three moms with rowdy toddlers?!?!
And finally - if you google "pregnancy brain" you may find a picture of me and this image! Christina says she saw me put it down before we went into the Mill...but clearly, I did not. Regardless - I'm thankful to be in suburban Michigan, where I know my car won't get stolen...even when I leave my trunk up for an hour.

CHEEEEEEESE

Monday Night Football Math:

(Matthew Stafford + Calvin Johnson + Jahvid Best) - Jay Cutler = DETROIT WINS!

5 wins + 0 losses = first time since 1956

Can you hear those LIONS roar??? Jack can. His Daddy went to the game last night and came home with a Suh jersey for him. He'll be sporting that each and every Sunday. And the best part is - he can say "Suuuuuhhhhh" (video coming)

Boo!

Jack and I made some special Halloween cards for our family and mailed them out last week. We hope everyone enjoyed them.  Jack thought this was really fun - because I painted his foot. What can I say? The kid loves being dirty.

Boots

What you don't see...
Right after the hug - we had a minor disaster. Jack fell backwards with Molly on top of him - and bumped his head on the floor.  There were tears...but he was okay.

And like my mom always told my brothers and me - "It's always fun and games until someone gets hurt!"

Famous Photographer

Tyson is a famous photographer in Metro-Detroit.  He took this picture when he arrived at work today and sent it to me.  I convinced him to submit it to the Detroit Free Press (our newspaper) and they posted it on their Facebook page. Pretty cool! You can click HERE to see it.

Big Wheels Keep on Turnin'

Jack and I took a stroll to our local park on Friday. He found an old-school Big Wheel bike and it was a hit!

We've enjoyed a pretty low-key weekend at home. Lots of traveling coming up for us - we have to get our travels in before my Nov. 14th deadline (no traveling after 36 weeks). We'll see if the Nov. 14th deadline sticks...my doctors may change their minds as I get closer to delivery. You may remember they changed their minds when I was pregnant with Jack...

So far, so good. I'm almost 31 weeks!! Baby Girl is in the 50% for growth. She moves around a lot, but isn't a "vicious kicker" (unlike the previous inhabitant of my uterus - ahhhemmm, Jack!).  She remains unnamed, but Jack calls her "sissy." He is also quick to point out any "baby" he sees in public (even if the "baby" is a few months younger than he is).

Toddler Rave

A few weeks ago my friend, Becky, made a post on her blog about adding glow sticks to her daughter Lia's bath. Brilliant! I bought some glow sticks at the Dollar Tree and last night Jack had his very own RAVE! {no hi-lighters or white t-shirts included}

It was hard for him to give up the florescent sticks. But we made a deal - I would litter the floor of his bedroom with them, so he could see them as he fell asleep.  It worked. Well done, Becky! We will have another RAVE soon!
