Alpha Phi Reunion in Indy

Last weekend we met up with my Alpha Phi friends - Lauren (Boh), Georgianne, Kelly, and Kassey - for a "Mom's Weekend" (plus families). It was crazy - but SO fun to see everyone and catch up.

We have managed to produce A LOT of babies! Actually we had 5 in ONE year! From January 2014 to January 2015...we EACH had one! (3 boys and 2 girls)...add in my older two and Kassey's older two - for a grand total of 9 baby Phi's! We were rolling DEEP.
Our first stop was the Indianapolis Zoo - Jack and Josie loved it!
After the zoo - we checked in to our hotel and headed straight to the pool. All three of my kids LOVED swimming. Nolan was obsessed with the water. It was a little cold - but he didn't care. I think he's going to be a HUGE fan of summer!
And Josie was loving the water, too! The tu-tu swimsuit was an added bonus.
Nolan met a few potential DePauw girlfriends...including Miss Vivienne. She's just 10 days younger than him. She spent a couple hours crying Saturday night/early Sunday morning - so she was all "you people are cray" on Sunday before we left. She had a point.
And of course, it's not a true sorority function unless you have a t-shirt...so all the kiddos got a Mom's Weekend shirt. Here are Josie, Zach (Kelly's son), and Deco (Boh's son) - sporting their shirts. Such models!

We all had SO much fun. Jack cried when he had to leave. But we promise to have more reunions with the moms (and families).

DePauw 10 Year Reunion Weekend

Tyson and I were back in Greencastle last weekend for our 10 year Reunion. It was great to be back on campus!
My two besties from Alpha Phi were there too...Kelly and Georgianne. We spent lots of time sitting on the Alpha Phi porch swings and catching up. We're all pregnant - so there was plenty of water being consumed, lots of delicious Marvin's (GCB), and plenty of "pregnancy talk."  Their husbands - Eric (Kelly) and Josh (Georgianne) were good sports as we shared WAY too much info about our bodies and reminisced about our days in college.
We had a great dinner with the other 2004 Alpha Phi girls on Saturday night. We really brought the "party" to the reunion! I'm due 8/21, George is due 8/28, and Kelly is due 11/24. Of course, I had to make all the soon-to-be babies matching onesies...because I'm a nerd like that...
You'll notice I have ZERO pictures of my husband. He had a ton of Beta Boys back for the weekend and they were busy....doing fraternity boy things...  I did see him a few times, but never long enough for a picture together. Regardless, we were there. DePauw is where it all began...

For the record - I'm already planning to really LIVE IT UP for the 15 year reunion! I was pregnant with Jack at our 5 year, too. I'm due for a SUPER crazy time (which by then will probably mean 2 glasses of wine and then bed).

BIG thanks to Nancy & Denny - who pulled off TWO weekends in a row of babysitting duties. Jack and Josie had fun with you!

Here's to DePauw...

This post is sure to make Grandpa Jerry happy. He loves DePauw. He makes very large donations...oh wait. Grandpa Jerry MADE very large donations - in the form of 8 years of tuition. And let's just say, DePauw isn't his favorite place.

Grandma Nancy, a fellow alum, actually DOES love DePauw...and will enjoy this:
The Monon get-together had some great "swag" from the Alumni Office. I made sure to grab two pom poms for Josie. She loved them and used them to cheer for IU during the game Sunday night.
Jack cheered too. (Has anyone noticed Cooper the Creeper yet??)
Then Josie pretended she was a blonde.
And then Jack did too...except he had a receding pom pom hairline.

Aunt Kim - who actually WAS a cheerleader at IU - will have to show Josie the correct moves to the IU fight song. I made some up, but overall, it was a fail. I DO, however, know all of the words and moves to the Jefferson Elementary fight song...if anyone gives me enough wine...I may just perform it for you. (Go Trojans Spartans! Fact: they changed the name from Trojans to Spartans because of the condom brand. Only in Warsaw.)
