Spring is in the Air...
And there's a TOOTH in Nolan's mouth! (can't see it in the picture) He's been a happier boy since he's been on the mend and since that tooth popped through. #only19more

Stuff...and Santa
Christmas is coming. That's the finish line for me. Even if I'm wrapping presents right up until I go to bed on Christmas Eve...Christmas Day will be responsibility-free (aside from the parenting gig).
Here are a few things we've been up to...
Nolan has been gnawing on my fingers whenever he can get them near his mouth. It's gross AND it hurts! So I convinced Santa to give him a teething toy a little early. It's called an appe-teether (like appetizer) and it's shaped like broccoli. Genius. Also - I'm 90% convinced he will have brown eyes! BROWN!
Jack & Josie spent a good hour playing in Josie's closet. I mean, really. Maybe not the safest place in the house to play...but they were LOVING it...they weren't fighting...and they had fun. Go with it.

And Sunday afternoon we stopped by our local mall to see the BIG man. It was his first time meeting Nolan. Nolan is on the "perfect list" - VERY hard to get on that one. Could be the ONLY year he's on it...not gonna lie...I know his siblings and their history.
Santa didn't even recognize Josie...she has gotten so much more hair in the last year! And Jack, well - he knew Jack! GOOD NEWS! They're all in Santa's good graces. Phew. We told him we'd leave him cookies & milk.
I made a mental note to make sure I get cookies for Santa this week at Costco.
PS: I'd like to thank TAYLOR SWIFT and her new album (1989) for getting me through the "CRAZY CHRISTMAS SEASON." And if anyone knows any 9 year old girls who need a chaperone to her concert, feel free to pass my name along. ;)

Brusha Brusha
Friendly reminder from Josephine - if you're eating Easter Candy (like she is), don't forget to brush those teeth!
Happy Easter, everyone!

U-G-L-Y
Getting new teeth HURTS (everyone).
Poor Josie is getting some new molars and she has been in pain! I feel so badly for her. Our usually happy, easy-to-please girl had been miserable.
To top it off - she learned she inherited my "UGLY Crier" gene. I have always been an ugly crier. My face turns red and blotchy, my eyes get swollen - and it looks like I've had some sort of allergic reaction. It's U-G-L-Y! Bad news to BOTH of my kids - but especially Josie - you have inherited this from me.
With poor Josie not feeling so great - there has been a WHOLE bunch of U-G-L-Y around here lately. We will hope those teeth pop through soon…
PS: Proof Josie is an U-G-L-Y crier - I got a phone call from daycare one day and they thought she'd had an allergic reaction. Her teacher said, "Her face is really red and her eyes are swollen." Ohhhhh - no, that's just because she's been crying. Sure enough, her teacher did acknowledge she'd cried during her nap (switching from a crib to a cot isn't what Josie had in mind).

Teething
Teething has turned my sweet, happy girl into a miserable, drooling, poopy mess. {Fact: poop is affected when babies get teeth}
It's very sad {and tired} around these parts. Josie would like to wave her white flag and opt out of a full set of teeth. She's heard they're doing amazing things with dentures these days… Hook her up, Dr. McQuinn!
More interviews for me today…send some positive vibes my way...
