Hoooooooosiers

Yesterday was St Patrick's Day AND Round 1 of the NCAA Tournament for the Hoosiers. Since we wanted to wear RED but also needed our green...I had to make the kids some shirts.

Nolan doing half of his IU sign.
Jos was all glittered out...and only threw a minor fit because she had to wear "GEEN." For the record - she "hates geen" and never wants to wear it again. Spoken like a true 4 year old.
Jack was proud to represent the HOOSIERS at school. He is getting some major brainwashing from classmates and friends. The other day he said "MICHIGAN STATE - that's the team we appreciate." EXCUSE ME?!?!?

This weekend is a BIG game. HUGE. I don't want to talk about it. I'm already nervous...more than 24hr from tip off. GO BIG RED!

Haircuts

Last week I decided that all the children needed a lil' trim. So we picked Jack up from school and headed off to Great Clips. We usually opt for a lady in our neighborhood - who does amazing work...but this was spur of the moment...

They could ALL THREE get cuts at the same time. That's a nice "perk." And it wasn't just any haircut - it was Nolan's FIRST haircut. He did great. And the nice lady was very patient with him.  When he was all done - she scooped up his baby hairs and threw them in a ratty, written-on envelope. It was so third-child-appropriate...I had a good laugh.
Showing off his trim. Tyson likes his hair a little longer in the summer...but I have a feeling I might just talk him into something edgy. Mohawk?!? Stay tuned.
And finally - it's been a while since I had a Josie sleeping pic on the blog. So here it is. The next day she looked at my phone and said, "Hey - you took my picture when I was having a dream about flying!" Makes sense now.

Knock Knock

Saturday morning breakfast with this crew. Never a dull moment. Jack was telling Knock Knock Jokes - Josie was coming up with completely off the wall responses - and Nolan was hoarding cups. Coop & Tuck were hoping someone would drop some scrambled eggs on the floor. Where is Josie's shirt? Nobody knows.

And it's March...

Whoops - doing a TERRIBLE job at blogging. I've been a little busy. Michigan decided to recognize WINTER - just as winter was leaving...so we've had some snow days and that's always interesting.
Baseball season is underway. We dusted off the Tigers gear and we are ready to see what Detroit can do this season.
We've had some lazy days spent watching movies on the couch. Cooper isn't complaining. Such an old man.
Snow arrived - then left - then dumped on us - then left again...and, wait for it... CAME BACK last night.
Our faces say "we like it" but our hearts say "STAY AWAY SNOW!"
For the record - there is nothing cuter than a baby in a snow suit.
Nolan discovered legos. He likes them and he does a decent job using them correctly. Third child - leave them alone and they find ways to entertain themselves appropriately.
Josephine is channeling her inner "Florida retiree" with this get-up. We are heading to Naples/Sebring for Spring Break, so she's just getting a head start.
Aside from Legos - Nolan is also OBSESSED with reading books. Obviously, this is 100% fine with me.
Jack is doing well in Kindergarten and is really enjoying making art. He's meticulous and detailed in his drawings...and he's a perfectionist. I have no idea where he got that trait...

So that's the update for half a month - that I failed to blog about. I'll be better.
